Sacrifice
Aside from my patience, sanity, health and well-being, this internship has now taken something else from me. Something far, far more difficult to regain. Something that hurts.
My best blue skinny jeans. The shame. The sorrow. THEY FIT SO PERFECTLY HOW WILL I EVER FIND ANOTHER PAIR LIKE YOU.
Regardless. The things I sacrifice for the betterment of this theatre...
As I say as I remove my piercings and cover my tatto, "My kingdom for my craft."... (I don't mean to sound preachy in this next part, so please don't take it that way...) I love theatre much in the same way I love Jesus. I love theatre because it first loved me... If that makes any sense.
That is so profoundly beautiful, and I feel that this is the same for every passion, or art, or purpose. We don't find where we belong, where we belong in the world finds us, and then it never lets go. Whether you're a teacher, or an actor, or a physicist, you stumble upon that thing that is your whole being, and it holds on something fierce.

I had always heard it said that one finds their way when they aren't looking. I now know it to be true.
